Services / 02 Technology & AI advisory

Know what is worth building before you spend money building it.

New technology can be useful, but the decision to adopt it should start with a business problem.

I help companies evaluate software, AI and automation opportunities, compare realistic options and decide what is worth investing in. That includes identifying situations where a simpler solution is more sensible.

01 /When a business needs this

Situations I am asked to help with.

  1. 01A vendor is proposing an expensive new platform and the business needs an independent opinion.
  2. 02Leadership wants to introduce AI but has not identified a clear use case.
  3. 03Several tools appear to solve the same problem and the differences are difficult to evaluate.
  4. 04The company is paying for software that overlaps with existing systems.
  5. 05Manual work creates delays or errors, but the right way to improve it is unclear.
  6. 06A proposed AI project has uncertain costs, accuracy, data requirements or maintenance needs.
  7. 07Business leaders need to understand the technical implications before approving a budget.
02 /What I do
01

Understand the business problem.

Map the existing process and establish what needs to change.

02

Compare the options.

Consider existing software, integrations, conventional automation, custom development and AI where relevant.

03

Check feasibility.

Identify data requirements, system dependencies, implementation complexity, security considerations and operational constraints.

04

Estimate the real cost.

Consider implementation, licensing, integration, maintenance, monitoring and ongoing human involvement.

05

Run a focused evaluation.

Where appropriate, test a limited use case before recommending a larger investment.

06

Make a clear recommendation.

Explain the available options, tradeoffs, risks, estimated effort and recommended next steps in language business stakeholders can understand.

03 /What you receive

A written assessment, technology comparison, prioritized opportunity list, implementation roadmap, proof of concept or decision brief for leadership.

I do not promise guaranteed savings or guaranteed AI performance. The recommendation may be to do nothing, to use an existing tool or to solve the problem without AI.

04 /How it works

A straightforward way to get started.

01
Talk through the situation.

We discuss the business, the problem, the current setup and what a useful outcome would look like.

02
Define the scope.

If I can help, we agree on the questions to answer, the work required, access needed, deliverables and timeline.

03
Do the work.

Depending on the engagement, I review systems, speak with stakeholders, work with the development team, evaluate options or contribute directly to implementation.

04
Explain what comes next.

You receive clear findings, recommendations or completed work. If further work makes sense, we can discuss it. There is no obligation to turn every assessment into a long term engagement.

Know what is worth building before you spend money building it.

Tell me about the situation. If I can help, we will define a clear scope together. If I cannot, I will say so.

Evaluate a technology decision

No elaborate sales process. Just a direct conversation about your business and the problem in front of you.
